Salem Town Wide Yard Sale

Do you have “treasures” in your garage, shed, basement, or attic that you don’t need any more but can’t bear the thought of throwing it away? Now is your chance to eliminate that clutter, make a few bucks, and regain that space. Sign up with Salem’s Community Services Department for our first ever Salem Town Wide Yard Sale.
Each Salem resident who signs up for the Town Wide Yard Sale will host their own sale at their address. Don’t have a yard? Spaces available (cost $10) in the parking lot of the Ingram Senior Center on a first come first served basis (priority is given to seniors 60+). Once the Community
Services Department has received all the names and addresses of the participants, we will advertise our Town Wide Yard Sale through various media outlets to all potential shoppers. At the time of sign-up, the Community Services Department will ask you for a list of a few big-ticket items, such as a refrigerator, couch, etc. or if the majority of your items are children’s toys or clothing, etc. Prior to the event we will provide a numbered map and corresponding list of participant’s addresses as well as their big ticket items to potential shoppers.
The cost to participate in this event is $10 for residents or for a space in the senior center parking lot, $20 for home based businesses such as Avon, Tupperware, etc. We ask that everyone who intends on having a yard sale signs up with the Salem Community Services Department.
To Register: You can register online at this website and pay via credit card or online check (small fees are assessed) or download a copy of the registration form at https://www.townofsalemnh.org/community-services-department and return it with payment (checks should be made payable to Town of Salem, NH) to the Community Services Department at the Ingram Senior Center, 1 Sally Sweets Way.
Registration Deadline to get your location on the map is Noon on April 15th. Senior Center parking lot vendors may register up to the day prior of the sale depending upon space availability.
There is no charge for the maps. Maps and address listing info will be available by noon on May 1st via the Town web site at https://www.townofsalemnh.org/community-services-department.
